Performer

Anna Lewenhaupt is a Swedish born artist, illustrator and performer. Having gained a diploma in illustration in Rome, and a BA in fine art at Central Saint Martins in London, as well as studying with ArtistLab in Stockholm, she has experimented with a wide range of artistic media such as drawing, painting, collage, video, photography, music, theatre and performance.

Anna’s work revolves around collage and explores a chaos of information, memory and association, as she samples imagery or sound, dresses up as a variety of characters, or makes fanzines. She has illustrated for Acne Studios, as well as for magazines Acne Paper, Vice and Intermission, among others.

Since 2008, Anna has worked as a performer and singer with Theo Adams Company at major venues in London, Tokyo and New York. She has also performed together with writer and artist La John Joseph in the UK as well as the Finnish film directors Virva and Vuokko Kunttu.
